5 Southeastern states, including Tennessee, launch traffic crackdown

MONTGOMERY, Ala. (AP) – Police in five Southeastern states are launching a weeklong program to reduce summertime wrecks and traffic deaths.

“Operation Southern Shield” starts Monday in Alabama, Florida, Georgia, South Carolina and Tennessee.
